Goes is a welcoming town where there’s plenty to do. Its pavement cafés, bars and restaurants are sure to give you a warm welcome, whether it’s for a five-course meal, a high tea, or just light refreshments. With views of the expansive marketplace or the old town harbour. On Tuesday and Saturdays, the marketplace is abustle with traders and shoppers browsing the stalls for all manner of things.
The Goes-Borsele railway is a steam preservation line in Zuid-Beveland. In the tourist season old steam trains ply back and forth on a dedicated section of track between Kwadendamme and Hoedekenskerke. Along the way, sit back and watch the Zeeland countryside roll by. Why not break your trip at one of the stations along the way and see some local attractions? It’s a real treat for kids!
