't Rosevelt

Archives show that in the end of the 16th century in this area was located a plot of land named "'t Rosevelt" . A  farmhouse here, long since demolished, was inhabited by ancestors of the (Tholen branch of the) Rosevelt family. Possibly this is the origin of the family name.
