Westerschelde Ferry

Discover Zeeland at its best: from the water! 

Step aboard and feel the salty breeze in your hair. As the Westerschelde stretches out before you, immense seagoing vessels sail past on one of the busiest shipping routes in the world. 

Within 25 minutes, the Westerschelde Ferry will take you to the other side of the Westerschelde. For children, the crossing is a real adventure! At the ticket office, they receive a children's passport with assignments and can collect a sticker with each crossing. Once their savings card is full, they can choose a nice gift at the ticket office.

Vlissingen
From the terminal, it is a 20-minute walk along the Westerschelde to the centre of Vlissingen. Stroll along the longest sea boulevard in the Netherlands, enjoy the view and soak up the atmosphere of this maritime city. Or take the bike or train to charming Middelburg, stroll through the historic streets and be surprised by the lovely shops and boutiques. 

Breskens 
From the terminal in Breskens, it is a 20-minute walk along the beach to the centre. Breskens is a charming fishing village with much to discover. Enjoy a snack and a drink on a terrace, cycle along the coast or visit the Fisheries Museum to learn more about the rich history of Breskens and the Westerschelde. 

Timetable
The Westerschelde Ferry is for pedestrians and cyclists.  During the high season, there are departures between 5:48 a.m. and 10:18 p.m. For tickets, reservations and the current timetable, visit www.westerscheldeferry.nl. Our departures connect with the arrival and departure times of trains and buses. Free parking is available within walking distance of both terminals. Children up to 3 years of age travel free of charge. Dogs are allowed on board free of charge if they are kept on a short leash.
