Step aboard and feel the salty breeze in your hair. As the Westerschelde stretches out before you, enormous sea vessels pass by up close along one of the world’s busiest shipping routes.

In just 25 minutes, the Westerschelde Ferry takes you to the other side. For children, the crossing is a real adventure! At the ticket counter, they receive a kids’ passport with fun tasks and can collect a sticker each trip. Once their card is full, they get a small surprise when handing in their passport.

Vlissingen
From the terminal, it’s a 20-minute walk along the Westerschelde to Vlissingen’s city centre. Stroll along the Netherlands’ longest sea boulevard, enjoy the views and soak up the maritime atmosphere. Or hop on a bike or train to cosy Middelburg, where charming streets and unique boutiques await.

Breskens
From the terminal in Breskens, it’s a scenic 20-minute walk along the beach to the town centre. Breskens is a charming fishing village with lots to explore. Relax at a café, cycle along the coast, or dive into the Fisheries Museum to discover the rich maritime history of Breskens and the Westerschelde.

Good to know
The Westerschelde Ferry is for pedestrians and cyclists. In high season, sailings run between 05:48 and 22:18. Visit www.westerscheldeferry.nl for tickets, reservations and the latest timetable. Sailings are aligned with train and bus connections. Free parking is available within walking distance of both terminals. Children up to 3 years travel free. Dogs are welcome (short leash required) and travel free of charge.
