Hotels in Zeeland
Wide choice
Zeeland has a rich miscellany of hotels. On sea, at a lake, in the dunes. From simple warm family hotels to luxury boutique properties. Roam along the coast, from Goeree-Overflakkee all the way to Zeeland-Flanders and you’ll see the profusion of our hotel sector – from romantic nights away at the beach, to a grange hotel on an old farm.Seeing stars (****)
Our four-star hotels are something special. Take the Boutique Hotel The Roosevelt in the centre of Middelburg, opposite the Abdij with its tower De Lange Jan. Over in Cadzand, Hotel De Blanke Top perches atop a single giant dune. The view is breath-taking. Opened back in the fifties, the hotel is now on its third generation of owners in the De Milliano family. Also mind-boggling: the four-star Badhotel in Domburg and the Grand Hotel ter Duin in Burgh-Haamstede.
Spend the night in a Michelin-starred restaurant
In Kruiningen, the Manoir Inter Scaldes only allows guests at the Michelin-starred restaurant (***) of the same name to stay the night. Book your room when you book your table. Other Michelin-starred restaurants offer overnight stays in quite some luxury. Eat, drink and be sleepy. Something to dream on.
Urban stays
Stay awhile in one of the towns of Zeeland. In Terneuzen, several hotels stand at the very edge of the Westerschelde estuary, while huge ships sail past, Antwerp-bound. On the north shore, there’s Vlissingen’s special boulevard. To wake up here is a unique experience. The sea is so close, you can almost touch the ships. Across the road, a few steps and stairs away is your morning walk on the beach. Or a wake-up dip in the North Sea.If it’s old buildings and a stroll through history that you want, book yourself a hotel in Veere, Zierikzee or Tholen. Or back across in Zeeland-Flanders, where you can walk the defensive walls of Hulst, clamber up the Belfort in Sluis discover the jewels of Aardenburg, the oldest town in Zeeland.
