Zeeland is a mix of former islands that are now connected by bridges and the awe-inspiring Delta works. You don’t need to travel far to experience just how diverse the province is. In just one trip, you can easily travel from the coast to a nature reserve or from polder to a historic city like Middelburg, Veere and Zierikzee. Here are our favourite camper sites in each location.
Waterside campervan sites
From one-day touring pitches to fully serviced accommodation, Zeeland is home to an abundance of campervan sites along or near the water’s edge. The unique Camperpark Brouwersdam offers a seaside pitch at one of the most famous Delta works in the Netherlands, while Camperpark Zeeland along the shores of the Veerse Meer is perfectly located for water sports. At Camping Linda in Wemeldinge, you stay close to the Oosterschelde, just like at Camperplaats De Willeminahoeve in Wissenkerke.
Campervan sites near cities
Zeeland also has plenty of campsites near cities. Camperplaats De Zandweg is just a short walk from Zierikzee’s historic town centre, while Stadscamping Zeeland is a stone’s throw from Middelburg’s listed buildings, independent shops and al fresco restaurants and cafés. WSV De Kogge gives you magnificent views over Tholen harbour.

Rural campervan sites
If you’re looking to experience Zeeland’s spacious and serene countryside, book yourself into a more rural location at Landwinkel Oude Stoof and enjoy the great outdoors as well as home-grown produce. De Kamperhoek offers overnight accommodation in the typically Dutch polder landscape, while Boerderijcamping Het Poolse Kruis combines the peace and quiet of rural Zeeland with an opportunity to meet the animals on the farm. Another great tip is Camperplaats De Waterhoeve, near the Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe.
Free pitches
You’ll also find several free pitches, most of which offer basic amenities and have space for a limited number of campers. Many are also subject to a maximum stay. The website of the tourist information point Inulst has a list of free and paid campervan sites.
