About this location

The regional museum ‘De Meestoof’ is located in the former town hall of St. Annaland. The ‘Meestoof’ is named after the barn in which madder roots were dried. The museum illustrates how life in the countryside of Tholen and St. Philipsland was long ago.

With children: During the museum season, children’s parties are held on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm. We start out with an exciting hunt through the museum. En route, the kids can try their hand at a variety of activities such as cow-milking! Afterwards, it’s time to head outdoors to play traditional Dutch games such as tilting at the ring, pitching horseshoes, sack-racing, and so on! Group arrangements from € 6- per child (per 5 children, free admission for 1 chaperone)
