"We have no fewer than fourteen varieties of cherries," Sabine van Overloop begins her story about farm shop Puur, "so the season lasts as long as possible, about eight weeks." Her husband Thijs, together with John Elenbaas from Arnemuiden, has launched the Zeeuwse Zonnekers: sweet cherries from Zeeland clay, large, firm and meaty in flavour.
But cherries are not the only thing you will find here. Alongside pears there are now also their own apples, plums, raspberries and strawberries grown on shelving systems. Sales started with a simple cherry and pear stall, and later a vending machine was added.
The farm shop with a broader range is temporarily closed, as is the tea garden and the small playground. There is however a fruit vending machine.
