Appelhuisje A small roadside cottage that offers far more than its name suggests. At the Louws family's Appelhuisje, it's not just about apples — it's a whole season of Zeeland fruit, freshly picked and straight from the orchard. Of course there are plenty of apples: Delcorf, Elstar, Jonagold, Golden Delicious, Wellant and Junami, plus delicious homemade apple juice. You'll also find Zeeland pears including Conference and Doyenné du Comice, as well as cooking pears. In season, the range extends to strawberries, cherries, plums and sometimes berries. Almost everything is grown on the farm itself — picked fresh and sold quickly. The real highlight is the fruit vending machine with nearly a hundred hatches. Customers pick their own favourites at any time of day. A simple and delightful concept: fresh Zeeland fruit straight from the orchard, literally out of the wall.
