Kats Harbour

About this location
Kats harbour is the kind of place where visitors need a little persistence to find their way. Roads seem to dead-end and 'no entry' signs appear — but that is part of the charm.
The harbour once played a role in the construction of the Delta Works; the two large cranes still on site bear witness to that era.
Earlier still it was a ferry harbour: before the Zeeland Bridge opened in 1965, the Kats–Zierikzee ferry operated here. Today the harbour has a quiet recreational role; working boats have given way to pleasure craft.
