The connection with eel goes back nearly a century: grandfather Lou started fishing here in 1933. Pieter smokes eel almost daily in the smokehouse behind the shop, a craft he has mastered since he was fourteen.
Fresh eel is sold by the pound or kilogram; other fish and shellfish are also available.
