About this event
A few times a year, you have the opportunity to walk through the normally closed castle woods and bunkers. Seize this unique chance! During this walk, you will learn a great deal about the bunkers and their former purpose.
Bunkers in the Castle Woods
The bunkers are part of the virtually intact complex, which consists of 40 bunkers from World War II. Our guides will take you on this exciting and interesting walking tour and will gladly tell you all about it.
The old deciduous forest near Haamstede Castle teems with birds. Wrens, garden warblers, nuthatches, blackcaps, and many other birds ensure that it is never truly silent. And the ground crawls with life; many insects contribute to a healthy soil and live on dead wood. But also the remains of fallow deer and roe deer are part of this circle of life.
It is a walking tour full of history and nature!
