Frituur Vernieuw

About this location

In the hamlet of Abbekinderen, on the Abbekinderseweg near Goes, a large tent stands beside a farm. During the week the rural area is peaceful, but on Friday and Saturday evenings chips are fried here. Kees van Nieuwenhuijze, a potato farmer, and his friend Silvijn Vermare started their own chip tent during the coronavirus pandemic.

Kees grows Frieslanders and Agrias together with his father — potatoes that are excellent for chips. "Our philosophy is: we are specialists in our field. Something you cannot make at home. And with us you eat a little piece of the story." The potatoes come straight from the field and are cut and carefully fried in-house, tailored to the variety. That goes with real, creamy mayonnaise — not chips sauce.

Snacks are also available, such as frikandellen, croquettes, cheese croquettes and spring rolls.

"Straight from the land to the customer." You can enjoy your chips at the picnic benches. Every Friday and Saturday.
