What to do in Domburg

Art and culture in Domburg

Artists and art lovers have been finding their way to this old artists’ village for many years. Artists such as Jan Toorop, Piet Mondriaan and many others have found their inspiration with the unique Zeeland skies. Do you want to find out where famous paintings were made by these artists? Why not walk the In het licht van Toorop en Mondriaan trail, which homes in on the works of these two famous artists? The Marie Tak van Poortvliet Museum regularly organises temporary exhibitions displaying works by Dutch and international artists.

De Manteling

Domburg lies directly adjacent to De Manteling, a unique woodland reserve with country houses and delightful gardens. If you walk on towards Oostkapelle, you will reach the beautiful Kasteel Westhove. This is one of the best castles in the Netherlands.

Domburgsche Golfclub

The most exceptional golf course in Zeeland is located in the dunes near Domburg. The Domburgsche Golfclub is not only amongst the oldest golf courses in the Netherlands, it is also a ‘links’ course. This means a golf course on the coast and exposed to sea winds. The wind and rough make for a challenging round of golf!
